When you are studying it can sometimes be difficult to find the time to be active.
And when you have time you want to spend it with your friends and maybe a party is more inviting than going to the gym and get sweaty.
Many students haven't actually got the money to spend on a gym membership and therefor neglect their health
The schools have become aware of these problems and have created a Student wellness program.
You know that if you exercise regularly you are also able to concentrate for longer. Which I can imagine is extra important if you are a student.
In a student wellness program the students are offered different activities like ballet, gym sessions, yoga, spiritual guidance, destressing sessions etc. Everything for the student to have a healthy life while they are studying and afterwards when they are finished.
"The KUMC Student Wellness Program, coordinated by the Division of Student Services, is designed to encourage students to develop and maintain a balanced approach to life."
That sounds like a really good thing, more schools should think that way.
If your school is not offering a wellness program, then talk to your school and suggest a change.
