My best friend and I have decided to get serious about our eating habits…after all, how we take care of ourselves from this point on will greatly determine our quality of life. So we've decided to make it simple, at least to begin with. We've decided to make sure we get a good source of protein and two vegetables for both lunch and dinner. We're going to prepare them in simple ways, cooking with just a bit of olive oil or steaming and then adding some olive oil and a bit of salt, etc. We will also have a treat in the afternoon and we've found some cookies as well as some ice cream that have good ingredients and aren't too high in calories. So this will be our guideline and we can branch off from there. But keeping it simple is how we feel we can actually keep it up! I pointed out that making sure to have proper food actually in the house at all times is also important because it's easier to turn to less healthy "fun" food in the absence of good healthy food. Toward that end, my friend suggested we buy beef online, that way we can't make excuses about not having gotten to the store, etc., and we can stock the freezer, too. To add some variety, we're going to buy lamb online too! We're feeling good-and even a bit high-tech-about our plan!
